Как указано в документации Android для BluetootGattCharacteristic:

Represents a Bluetooth GATT Descriptor. GATT Descriptors contain additional information and attributes of a GATT characteristic, BluetoothGattCharacteristic. They can be used to describe the characteristic's features or to control certain behaviours of the characteristic.

BluetoothGattDescriptor описывает функции или управляет BluetoothGattCharacteristic. Но есть способ прочитать BluetoothGattDescriptor с удаленного устройства:
BluetoothGatt.readDescriptor

Почему значение дескриптора можно прочитать с удаленного устройства? Он описывает характеристику, вот я и подумал, что его надо сшить с BluetootGattCharacteristic, не так ли? Какое значение оно считывает с удаленного устройства?
