Получайте push-уведомления Android, даже если приложение закрыто ⇐ Android

Я пробовал использовать Google GCM, но когда приложение закрыто (проведите пальцем по экрану или удалите его из диспетчера задач), оно не получает никаких push-уведомлений. И когда я снова открываю приложение, уведомление уже пропало и потерялось.

GCM работает для:
- Приложение открыто
- Приложение свернуто

Не работает:
- Приложение закрыто (проведите пальцем по экрану из диспетчера задач)
- Приложение закрывается путем очистки всех открытых приложений в диспетчере задач

Я хочу получать push-уведомления, даже если приложение закрыто, как Facebook или Instagram. Как я могу этого добиться?? Возможно ли это в GCM? если да, то как? если нет, то какой другой способ добиться этого??
