Выполнение запросов AJAX к серверу NGINX с поддержкой CORS ⇐ Jquery

Я пытаюсь подключиться к ReSTful API, и для этого мне нужно сообщить серверу, что у меня есть на это полномочия. Я сам размещаю этот ReST API и использую NGINX в качестве обратного прокси. Я настроил NGINX для разрешения запросов CORS (через Enable-cors). Для простоты использования я решил использовать jQuery для запросов AJAX и использую возможность отправки своих учетных данных.

Я понимаю, что мне нужно найти решение для использования этого подстановочного знака, однако в сети, в которой я работаю, часто встречаются IP-адреса. Итак, переходя к моему вопросу: что делать?
