I'm running a server (samba, ssh) on my local home network. Not accessible from the internet.
Today I received the message "Warning: Remote Host identification has changed".
I receive it on my two laptops (Fedora, macOS) via WiFi but not on my Desktop (Fedora) via ethernet cable. Both laptops showing a different RSA256-checksum.
Strange, but on the other hand I consider it rather unlikely that there is a man in the middle attack in my private home network.
What else could be the problem here?
I think deleting the stored key could solve the problem. But it is wise in this situation?
