Тексты и символы в Qt OpenGl ⇐ C++

How we can render or draw texts, numbers and characters in openGL and Qt opengl widget?
is there any step by step guide?
I tried renderText method but it seems that this method is no longer supported.
and freetype is mentioned in some sources but i could'nt use it

i have both windows and linux operating systems
and qt 5 , 6
